Black Churches and HBCU Students for AI Literacy

 

Black Church Leaders, Black Church Parents, and HBCU Students in the U.S. may apply to support ten (10) Black high school students in the U.S. with parental consent to complete the Changing Expectations Youth Creating Artificial intelligence (AI) Voice Chatbots for Social Justice Course.

A $2,500 stipend for Black Church Leaders, Black Church Parents, and HBCU Students will be dispersed after 10 high school students from each predominantly Black church submit the activities for Chapters 1 – 6 of the AI course and an AI voice chatbot for social justice project by December 1, 2024.

Each high school student from a predominantly Black church may earn a $300 school supplement gift card (for school supplies, technology needs, school clothes, school projects, etc.) upon completing the AI course (Chapters 1 – 6) and the AI Voice Chatbot for Social Justice Project by December 1, 2024.

These AI literacy programs provide access and exposure for Black youth and young adults to pursue education as AI Users, Managers, and Developers and careers in this growing field.
